AV Voice Changer Software is a powerful program which can automatically detect and work with any audio streams presenting in your computer. In order to help VCSD work probably or if you want VCSD to only work with a specific audio stream from a specific application, you should either turn off the the other programs (only programs that produce audio streams like Media Players, or online music sites, etc) that might mess up the process of VCSD or add those programs into the Ignore Filter list in VCSD.

This tutorial will give you step-by-step guidance on how to add an application into the Ignore Filter list. This tutorial is useful for many different tasks using Voice Changer Software.

» Notes:

This tutorial is applicable for 2 editions Voice Changer Software Diamond and Voice Changer Software Gold of VCS versions 6.0 and 7.0.
This tutorial was illustrated using Voice Changer Software Diamond version 7.0 in Vista7 skin (VCS in short).

Step 1 - Open the Preferences dialog box
Step 2 - Activate the Ignore Filter
Step 3 - Choose the application(s) to be ignored

STEP 1: Open the Preferences dialog box

- Click the Preference button on the main panel, and switch to the Ignore Filter tab (1).

STEP 2: Activate the Ignore Filter

- Check the Enable checkbox (2) to activate the Ignore Filter.

- Check the Applications option box (3) to use the Ignore application mode which is easier for use than the Ignore Streams mode.

- Click the Add button (4) on the right to see the application list.

STEP 3: Choose the application(s) to be ignored

- When you click the Add button, there will be a popup menu which shows a list of applications running in your computer at the same time with VCS. Click on the name of the process to add it to the Ignore list.

If you need to add a program which is not listed, click Browse.

- Repeat the above action until all the programs that should be ignored have been added into the list.

- Click OK (5) to apply the Ignore settings and close the Preferences dialog box.

For example, in fig 3, there are two media players, two web browsers, and two instant messengers are running at the same time with VCS. We want VCSD to morph the sound played by QuickTime, then add Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, FireFox, Yahoo Messenger, and Windows Messenger into the Ignore Filter list since these programs may also produce audio streams.

Note: Audio streams from Windows Media Player (WMP) will be morph automatically by VCSD. So if you want VCSD to work with another program other than WMP, you should add WMP to the Ignore list.
