Troubleshoot the download

This instruction will let you know how to use free internet download software - FlashGet. This wonderful tool can speed up your download to 8 times faster than normal and resume the download process if it has any problem.

If you do not download it yet, click here to download FlashGet.

Setting up and using FlashGet should be described as following steps:

1. FlashGet installation
2. Use FlashGet to download the needed file

1. Set up FlashGet

Let's start will the installation - the first step of any tool.

When you run the file flashget.exe, this window below will pop up.

Click Next.

Then click I Agree.

Click Browse (1) to choose the location to install FlashGet and then click Next (2)

Click Next to add FlashGet into FlashGet folder in Start Menu

Click Next to start copy FlashGet into you hard disk

It will take a few seconds to install FlashGet into your computer.

Check (1) if you want to participate in FlashGet Share URL service. If you don’t want to share your information, just uncheck it.
Click Next (2) to finish the installation.

Click Finish.

Now you are ready to use FlashGet. Now come to the next step to learn how to use FlashGet step by step.

2. Use FlashGet to download file

This is the interface of FlashGet.
Click New to start download.

(1) Enter the URL of file
(2) Browse to choose the folder your want to save downloaded file in.
(3) Increase the number to speed up the download.
(4) Check this box if the file you want to download or the server you access asks your password.
(5) Enter the username and password (if required).
(6) Choose immediately to download instantly or other method that is most suitable for your work.
(7) Click OK to start download.

You can see more information about the download process.

You can close the download window (1) and monitor the download process through a small window of FlashGet at the top right corner of desktop (2).

Now just relax until the download finishes.

If your want to pause the download, just click (2).
Click (1) to start the download again.
